If Diane does not already own the design, 702 Quilting will split the design cost with you. Please do not purchase designs yourself, as the design license must be loaded directly into Diane’s software.
Your edge-to-edge quilting price stays the same regardless of stitching density.
Local convenience is built into the service to make drop-off and return easier.
Edge-to-Edge Longarm Quilting
A beautiful, efficient option for quilters who want a polished finish with consistent stitching, professional detail, and a clean overall result.
A $40 minimum charge applies to baby quilts smaller than 40″ × 40″, table runners, placemats, and other small projects.
Clients may supply their own batting. Batting must be at least 2 inches larger than the entire quilt top.
Other Services Offered
Backing Preparation Services — $25
A $25 fee applies when any one of the following backing preparation services is needed:
- Piece Backing Together: Sewing separate pieces of backing fabric together to create the required backing size.
- Fix Backing: Trimming or correcting uneven or improperly pieced backing, removing selvage edges, or adding muslin when the backing is too small for the loading process.
- Press Backing Seams: Pressing seams in pieced backing so the fabric can be loaded smoothly and evenly.
- Press Bolt Folds: Pressing out bolt folds left in the backing fabric. Please press out bolt folds before refolding and submitting your backing whenever possible.
Custom Quilting by Diane
For quilts that call for a more distinctive finish, Diane offers custom quilting tailored to your design, style, and story using free-motion and software-assisted techniques.

Backing Fabric Requirement
Backing fabric must be at least four inches larger than the quilt top on every side. This means the backing should measure at least eight inches wider and eight inches longer than the quilt top to allow for proper loading and quilting.
